Wine- Maker Notes
The 2007 "8" Chardonnay was my first Chardonnay produced at Vineyard 7 & 8, and an effort I was extremely happy with. This chardonnay exhibits a bright golden color, and displays an intense and complex bouquet of candied lemon and citrus oils, intermixed with crushed stone fruits. Full bodied with a texture that is soft and creamy, and a long finish of mineral notes that highlight the white volcanic rocky soils from the estate. Luc Morlet, Winemaker
Steve Tanzer's International Wine Cellar 92
Good medium yellow. Aromas of soft citrus fruits, lemon oil, creme brulee, hazelnut and butterscotch. Supple, fat and rich, with a chewy texture to the sweet citrus and stone fruit flavors. Broad but not heavy, thanks to vibrant underlying minerality and the high percentage of porous white volcanic ash here. The best vintage yet for this bottling.
Wine Spectator 92
Rich flavors and creamy vanilla-laced oak are wrapped around ripe pear and apple notes. Full-bodied, ending with spice and hazelnut. Drink now through 2011.
Robert Parker 92
The brilliant 2007 Chardonnay displays loads of honeysuckle, orange blossom, and tropical fruit in an exuberant, sexy, medium to full-bodied style, with gorgeous purity, length, and intensity. This beauty should drink well for 3-4 years.

Wine- Maker Notes
The 2010 ?8? Chardonnay marks the second bottling under this label from the Lone Oaks Vineyard. Located in Sonoma County?s Russian River Valley, this hillside vineyard site provides ideal growing conditions for world class Chardonnay. Exhibiting a beautiful straw yellow color, this wine starts with an intense bouquet of ripe citrus, honey and toasted almonds, intermixed with notes of chamomile and crushed stones. Full-bodied and well concentrated, this fills your palate with a rich and creamy texture, and a very long finish. This wine should age gracefully over the next decade or more!
Antonio Galloni 90-92
The 2010 Chardonnay 8 boasts gorgeous minerality that serves to balance some of the wine-s more overt tendencies. There is plenty of richness and power in the glass, but those nuances are framed by the wine-s sheer harmony and sense of proportion. This is a highly promising wine from Vineyard 7&8.
