1996 Ca'Togni Sweet California (375ml)

$60.00
Robert Parker 92
Please note: The review below is for the 1995 version of this wine and is for information purposes only. Togni turns out tiny quantities of a sweet, jammy dessert wine made from the black "Muscat grape. This fun wine is surprisingly complex and light for its sweetness and penetrating intensity. The 1997 and 1996 Ca Tognis both offer notes of Chinese black tea, white flowers, raisins, prunes, and blackberry fruit. Moderately sweet and exceptionally pure, they are ideal apertif offerings.

1997 Topaz DLX California (375ml)

$69.00
FineWine International
100% botrytised fruit comprised of 60% Semillion and 40% Sauvignon Blanc. A "knock-out" of a wine that can give great Sauternes some real competition.

1997 Topaz DLX California (500ml)

2000 Dehlinger Goldridge (750ml)

$50.00
Wine Spectator 88-90
Ripe and vibrant, with juicy center of plum and wild berry shaded by fresh earth and pepper flavors. Turns supple, with raspberry and tart currant notes on a long, complex finish.

2003 Clos du Val Reserve (750ml)

$45.00
Decanter Magazine
Best New World Red: Although based in the Stags Leap District, Clos Du Val's Pinot Noir comes from the cooler Carneros. Full velvety colour, fine ripe Pinot fruit with more weight than expected, great purity and depth, this is a very good wine from an estate better known for its Cabernets.-- Steven Spurrier

In this case, I preferred the Cuvee Catherine to the 2003 Pinot Noir Cuvee Elizabeth, which reveals raspberry, pomegranate, cherry, and plum notes, crisp, tart acidity, some flowery characteristics, a lovely, medium-bodied mid-palate, and a good finish with vibrant acidity.

2005 Skewis Cuvee 115 (750ml)

$48.00
Wine- Maker Notes
Deep garnet color with a purple edge. The nose is greeted by complex aromas of ripe, dark fruits, violets, cinnamon spice, and toast. Juicy red and black fruit flavors of cherry, blackberry, plum, and strawberry give way to a seductive, rich mouth feel and long lasting finish. Total cases: 120

"Although made entirely from Pinot Noir, this aromatic dry wine tastes very much like a Loire Rose' with its rich, ripe fruit flavors. A real joy to drink."

2005 Tablas Creek Rose California (750ml)

Rich, ripe and full of fruit, with aromatics of provencial herbs mixed with flavors or raspberries and strawberries. Good acidity and a long finish make this one of the best Roses this side of Tavel.
Robert Parker 89
One of my favorite California roses is Tablas Creek's. Their powerful, light ruby-hued 2005 Rose (an 800-case blend of 62% Mourvedre, 28% Grenache, and 10% Counoise) possesses good underlying acidity along with plenty of blue and red fruit aromas as well as flavors.

2007 Morlet Family, Joli Coeur, Sonoma Coast (750ml)

Steve Tanzer's International Wine Cellar 95
Saturated red-ruby color. Pungently mineral aromas of dark cherry and graphite. Rich, broad and dry, with firm underlying structure giving shape to the plush flavors of dark berries, black tea and graphite. Finishes with firm, dusty tannins, a distinctly silky impression and terrific lift. The tiny clusters and berries produced in the heart of this Sonoma Coast vineyard produced barely two tons per acre of fruit in 2007. Wonderfully deep and soil-inflected California pinot.
Robert Parker 96
The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Passionement (100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Oakville Corridor) exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as an extraordinary bouquet of graphite, cassis, cedar, and ink, full-bodied power, and huge tannins and density. However, the wine¿s velvety structure means it can be drunk in 2-3 years or cellared for 25+.
