Wine- Maker Notes
Bottled 1998 - 38 years in cask The Blandys are unique in being the only family of all the original founders of the Madeira wine trade to still own and manage their own original wine company; nearly 2 centuries of fine wine production, 1811 - 2003.
Neil Martin, Wine Journal, eRobert Parker 90-91
Slightly paler than Leacock's 66. A more elegant, cohesive nose of citrus fruits, orange rind and marmalade. Very focused but needs more time. Quite elegant on the palate, sweet tangerines, marmalade fruits. Good acidity and complexity. Showing a little alcohol on the finish. Very fine. Tasted February 2006.

Wine- Maker Notes
"The Madeira Wine shipping company of Cossart, Gordon and Co.,Ltd. was established in 1745. This blend was first made in 1945 by Noel Cossart, the present chairman, to celebrate the Duo Centenary of the firm's foundation." It is a blend of old buals.
