| This full-bodied, sweet dessert wine, with its lovely amber color, is rich and voluptuous, with beautiful texture, loads of maple, honey and spice flavors, caramel notes that linger on the finish, and a nice, smoky, oxidized quality overall. It's balanced, and elegant, too. | |||||

| The stainless steel-fermented 2004 Vega Sindoa Viura-Chardonnay (70% of the former and 30% of the latter) is an amazing effort. Crisp, elegant, and dry, with a fragrant, Viognier-like bouquet, it offers abundant quantities of tropical fruits (pineapples), medium body, fresh, pure flavors, and a zesty finish. I have served this wine several times recently at charitable events in order to demonstrate that fine wine values can be found despite the weak American dollar. | |||||

| Big and yellow, which is evidence of the oak aging on this plump, modern Verdejo that's made in small quantity and will appeal to those who like things such as Semillon and Chenin Blanc. The body is full, there's fruit, wieght and grip, and the ripeness versus minerality is just right. Drink know with cheese or fish. 300 cases produced. | |||||

| The barrel-fermented 2005 Naia Des is sourced from a single parcel of 80- to 100-year-old, ungrafted, Verdejo vines located in La Seca, a village which the locals consider to be the "grand cru" of Rueda. Light gold-colored, it exhibits an attractive perfume of vanilla spice, lemon-lime and honeysuckle. This is followed by a medium-bodied wine with an intense entry, mouth-filling fruit, and excellent balance. Drink this fleshy, tasty effort over the next 12-18 months. | |||||
