Fine Wines International has been the source for the world's finest and rarest wine since its inception in 1980. We are a second generation business with over 75 years of collective experience in the fine wine trade which has given us a network of worldwide resources. We strive to maintain an extensive inventory of great wines. Our network enables us to acquire only the best for our clients. There are no allocations at Fine Wines International. We offer what we have on a first come, first served basis. We utilize all of our experience and time tested judgment to acquire only wines that have an impeccable provenance. Once our wines are received we take great pride in maintaining our wines in temperature and humidity controlled containers at all times.


Our pricing is based upon our acquisition costs. Rare wines are a constantly depleting resource, making reacquisition increasingly difficult. We are happy to advise our clients on wines to acquire for both long and short-term cellaring. Many of our clients purchase wines for long-term investment and we are happy to pass along our experience in this area. We are happy to locate special wines not in our current inventory that our clients may be seeking.


We feel that wine should be consumed for pleasure, shared with friends, and paired with great food. Wine is much more than a summation of its points and ratings. One of the biggest changes that we have experienced in the past decade has been the emergence of powerful wine critics whose ratings have transformed the fine and rare wine business. Wine buyers have increasingly allowed these critics and wine publications to be the final arbiter of their taste. Consumers have certainly benefited from not having to taste hundreds of wines to determine the better from the ordinary. However, while we find many of these ratings and publications extremely useful, we feel that they have frequently mislead or glossed over many exceptional wines that need to be appreciated in the correct setting. As a consequence, consumers often never taste many outstanding wines that have not been enthusiastically reviewed or highly rated.
