"The Bridge Pa Vineyard Hawke?s Bay Syrah 2005 is deep ruby in colour with violet and black fruit aromas. The attack is soft and sweet with notes of blackberry, black pepper and vanilla spice on the mid palate followed by a long, lingering finish with hints of licorice. This is a complex, elegantly structured wine which may be enjoyed on release or will reward further cellaring. A Classic Syrah from Hawke?s Bay this wine is made from high quality, hand picked fruit grown on the Ngatarawa Road vineyard. Hand crafted by Bruce Helliwell, traditional gentle winemaking techniques were employed followed by maturation for nine months in both new and seasoned French and American oak barriques. The wine was then bottle aged for a further four months prior to release at an optimal stage for drinking or cellaring."
