A deft touch of toasty wood frames pretty peach, apricot and floral undertones that merges into rich, full and generous medium full flavors that possess good power and intensity plus a finish that displays terrific punch and delineation. While most Beaune blanc isn't terribly interest-ing, this is the exception that proves the terroir can deliver if given half a change. Lovely. 91/2010+

The oldest property owned by the Drouhin family has produced a wine that is initially withdrawn, showing its herbal, earthy character, before releasing an explosion of sweet berries, spice and irresistible freshness and acidity. The aftertaste is firm, and the fruit is very much in place.
