Steve Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Spicy aromas of wild plum, pepper and herbs. Nicely sweet flavors of plum, redcurrant and oak spice; not really complex but boasts good intensity for very young pinot noir vines. Finishes slightly aggressive, with fine tannins and moderate persistence. Hank Skewis, winemaker for Mill Creek Vineyards, began bottling small quantities of wine under his own label in 1994 and will offer just 475 cases from the '99 vintage.
