Bright dark ruby, the deepest of these '99s. Very complex nose combines currant, rose petal, citrus blossom, meat, leather and underbrush. Big and brooding, with strong acidity and slightly aggressive tannins keeping the flavors under wraps. Finishes uncompromisingly dry, but this powerful wine also has superb richness.
