Bottled 1998 - 38 years in cask The Blandys are unique in being the only family of all the original founders of the Madeira wine trade to still own and manage their own original wine company; nearly 2 centuries of fine wine production, 1811 - 2003.

Slightly paler than Leacock's 66. A more elegant, cohesive nose of citrus fruits, orange rind and marmalade. Very focused but needs more time. Quite elegant on the palate, sweet tangerines, marmalade fruits. Good acidity and complexity. Showing a little alcohol on the finish. Very fine. Tasted February 2006.
